COACHING.
What is the difference between coaching and tuition? Tuition is basically providing tutorial for the entire syllabus of a certain subject; much like repeating what school had already taught. Most students need not have to learn the entire syllabus again. They only need a teacher to help them in topics that they are weak.
For kids who have no problem following 80% of their school work, what they need is to have a coach help them in 20% of their school work. It would be a waste of time if they have to sit through a tuitorial where 100% of the syllabus is repeated. Coaching is a customize learning approach. A coach will help identify weakness and administer necessarily intervention so that students progress with not be affected.
Students will come to TSA immediately after school. We will provide a comfortable and safe environment where they will complete their school homework and if needed be coached accordingly.
For lower primay students, they will also follow a 3 period(45 minutes each) tuitorial where they will learn English as a first language and core international school subjects. Students at upper primary and secondary, may choose to follow a more intensive international school curriculum.
Towards exam period, our program will switch its focus back to helping students prepare for national school assessments.
Besides academic work, students are encouraged to immerse themselves in extra curricula activities such as lego robotics, badminton, taekwondo, Piano and etc.
